If you don't know how to dance the Hawaiian Punch dance then you should press that BACK button right now.

GAP makes a gap in my soul

This is a Gap Kids commercial and I approve this message. The best part is all the legs at the very end of the commercial.

Alex Trebek and his mustache

It's always a good time to watch Jeopardy! Which Alex Trebek do you like better - the Alex with or without the mustache?

What will Vanna wear tonight?

When it's snowing and you're stuck inside, it's also a good time to watch Wheel of Fortune! I wonder what will Vanna wear tonight?

A Buckin' Radical Game

There is a blizzard outside right now so we figured it's a perfect day to stay inside and play a board game! Here is a Yahoo! Buckaroo commercial that we recorded in 1992.

We don't really remember this board game but we do know that the game was made by Milton Bradley and released in 1991. The object of the game is to get as many cowpokes on the bull as you can. And when a cowpoke lands on the bull, you must yell "YAHOO!". If you have the most, then you win!!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Here is another Pepsi commercial but this time it takes place in the snow and involves Pepsi cans getting stuck to peoples lips! We're in the middle of a huge blizzard today so we thought it would be appropriate to show some snow commercials. Enjoy!

Catch Deion if you can!

Today is football Sunday so we try to show football related videos. Here's one with Deion Sanders outsmarting Wile E. Coyote. He's as fast as Roadrunner!

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "We Wish You A Happy Holiday"

Here we have the Bright Hopes all bundled up in their winter gear, wishing you a happy holiday and a happy new year!

Combos Nacho Cheese Pretzel Head

Here is a Combos commercial that shows two things that were never meant to be together - weights and skates! I love Combos and I love the weightlifter's 90's hairdo. If you look at it, it's kinda shaped like a Combo.

Inside-Out boy is not ashamed of his sexuality

Does anyone remember the Inside-Out Boy shorts on Nickelodeon? It's the story of a boy who accidentally swung OVER the bar and became INSIDE-OUT BOY!

The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus

I love these old stop-motion animation Christmas specials.

OGRE pops up when you least expect it

Wow. The first thing I know...all of a sudden I was watching a Subaru car commercial from 1990. The next thing I know...all of a sudden I see Ogre from "Revenge of the Nerds" backing up an old, rusty van and lookin pissed at some lady in the commercial.

Where are you Donald Gibb? In your Alpha Beta sleeveless top and sweatpants?
You better be. Please contact us.

Make friends with tigers

There is no way anyone can make an 80's 90s blog without Tony the Tiger proclaiming his most famous line, "They're Greeeeat!!"

There is no way anyone around age 30 who doesn't remember these commercials with Tony the Tiger proclaiming this line while competing in an extreme sport.

There is no way that boy was better at wind surfin than Tony the Tiger.

Did that boy growl and make the bullies fall down and lose the wind surfin race?
It sure looks like! RADICAL!!

Tell us one thing radical about this coach?

Haha. Can you guess?? It's not what you think.....

Toyota Sweaterthon

I think every single person in this video is wearing a sweater. I think that the guy in the argyle sweater is wearing a sweater and he is rude for interrupting the girl in the pink sweater. Then I think the girl in the pink sweater gets annoyed at the guy in the argyle sweater. Then the girl in the purple bodysuit sweater wants the girl in the pink sweater's autograph! Next, the girl in the green sweater caresses the car with her old white sweater that she now uses as a rag. The guy in the argyle sweater doesn't like that and tries to leave but the girl in the pink sweater pulls him back. AND ALL THIS TIME THEIR HAIR NEVER MOVES!

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "Silent Night"

This is the most touching of all the videos in the Bright Hopes series..........

Expect the best from Jeep/Eagle!

Silly commercial with a fake Santa. Ho! Ho!! Ho!!!

Does anyone still have their '88 Jeep Cherokee, Eagle Premiere, or Eagle Summit? 2RadicalDudez used to share an '89 Buick Skyhawk back in the day but she has since passed away...

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - Jewish Hanukkah "Instrumental"

This is a great instrumental version of a Jewish classic performed by this very talented drummer. We're still trying to figure out what the hell is painted on his drum. A fortune cookie? Some kind of bird? A fortune cookie eating a bird?? Any ideas????

A Bo and Luke Duke Christmas!

This is a "Christmas Comes to Willow Creek" commercial from 1987. It's sort of like a "Dukes of Hazzard" Christmas special since both Bo and Luke Duke star in it! Also, Kim Delaney is in it (from tv's "Army Wives"). Enjoy!

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "White Christmas"

This woman has the voice of an angel........................

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You"

The Bright Hopes babes are back with their beautiful rendition of "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You". What great harmonizing! Very talented!!

MTV Live & Loud

Remember when MTV used to show music? Here's the video to prove it!

More MTV videos coming soon....

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "When You're Smiling"

We have more holiday cheer to spread with our next Bright Hopes video. It has singing, dancing, blind drumming, and even an accordion! SMILE with us and pass this video along to your loved ones!!!

Klutzy kid makes things better with a Kiss

You gotta love the simplicity of these older commercials. This one is from 1984 and has a cute/creepy middle-child who may have a few more problems than what his mom gives him for lunch.

Isn't it cool in pink?

I'm in love with this Cherry 7up commercial. I don't know if it's the music, the black & white cinematography with the pink overlay, the loser dweebs trying to chase some tail on a Friday night, the fact that it was filmed at the Miss America diner in NJ, or the very cute girl in the '57 Thunderbird.......

I think it's the very cute girl I'm in love with most. Who is she? Where'd she go?? To be continued.......

How to get lucky with Mouthwash & Mistletoe

Ok, this guy just bought his wife a glass of Scope Mouthwash for Christmas. And right before she gets upset and starts calling him an inconsiderate, cheap bastard, he whips out the Mistletoe. Mr. Smooth and his wife then proceed with a make-out session. So somehow he figured out a way to spend pennies on his wife's gift while simultaneously insulting her breath...and in the end he's getting lucky that night. Amazing power of the Mistletoe???

Robbed by R.O.B. and Santa

Remember when everyone wanted R.O.B. for Christmas?? And remember when the lucky kids who got R.O.B. barely used it because it was only compatible with TWO games??? And remember when those kids who DID use it found out that the two games they were stuck with sucked???? HAHAHHA I don't remember this because I was one of the "unlucky" kids who never got R.O.B!!!!!

With all kidding aside, after all these years I still want one so please send us your extra R.O.B.'s. No need to gift wrap them. Thanks!

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "Satin Doll"

This guy defines JAZZ SINGER. So slick, so smooooth....

Babies in diapers perform "The Nutcracker"

It's that wonderful time of year again and as you may have noticed, we have been posting several Holiday inspired and Christmas themed videos. Here is another one which features many babies wearing Huggies diapers showing them perform their rendition of the classic play "The Nutcracker". Ah gotta love the magic of editing.

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "Has Anybody Seen My Gal"

This is one of my personal favorite videos from the Bright Hopes series. The singer and drummer are amazing! This number definitely got my toes tappin!!

Trapper Keeper Car

The holidays aren't always about the holidays so I wanted to show you something that has nothing to do with the holidays.  Here is a Pontiac Grand AM commercial from 1990 that reminds me of a Trapper Keeper.

The guy from "IT"

I was never into The Waltons and never saw this holiday special, but I did like Richard Thomas in the made-for-TV smash, Stephen King's "IT". I have many great memories of scaring my little cousin by saying that Pennywise the clown was standing right behind him. Good times!

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "Stop In the Name of Love"

Now that you've met the Bright Hopes, here are some of the ladies with their rendition of a Motown classic that will bring brightness to anyone's day!

HOLIDAY EXCLUSIVE: Special people singing holiday songs - "If We Ever Needed the Lord Before"

It's that time of year when everyone should spread their joy and cheer to your fellow man so we wanted to share this series of videos with our visitors!

Back in 1991, a group of very special people got together to make "Bright Hopes for the Holidays". It was originally aired on a Philadelphia public access station and it features talented people singing songs of Christmas and other Holiday favorites. It was created to lift people's spirits, it has lifted ours... and we are sure it will lift yours!!!

There will be more to come so stay tuned...

Bedrock Gladiators

I never liked Cocoa Pebbles cereal. As soon as milk hits the cereal, it turns into a soggy mess, and it gets worse every second after that. Maybe the Soggies have something to do with it?

I'm assuming that Post was milking (pun intended!) the American Gladiators fame that was occurring at the time of this commercial. Gladiators ran from 1989–1996 but was then restarted again in 2008, to be canceled shortly thereafter in 2009.

Gladiators is gone but Cocoa Pebbles is still around? WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?!!?!

MAYDAY, MAYDAY!! Chinese spy satellite falling to earth!

Here is an "NBC Nightly News" segment hosted by Tom Brokaw that was shown on March 11, 1996. At the moment of taping this segment, a Chinese spy satellite was heading towards the earth, out of control, and no one knew where it was going to land. But they DID know when it was going to land. It was an FSW-1A Satellite.

We have a question. Where did it land?!? We googled it and couldn't find any answers about it!!! It has gold on that thing!!!! If you got the answers, then let us know!!!!!

Little weasel steals waffles

Eggo still make decent waffles. I just had some the other day. I can think of many other uses for that stealth suit.

"Burst the Bursts!!" with Kool-Aid Bursts

This commercial was released in 1992 and was promoting the new Kool-Aid drink called Kool Bursts. It looks like crazy stuff happens when you "Burst the Bursts"!

I was hoping Kool-Aid Man would do his trademark move and burst through a wall in this commercial. Oh...he bursted through a wall alright - through the wall of the Great Pyramids!!! And look where the boy ended up. Yup, he's upside-down so that means.........China!!

Dan Dierdorf no longer shaped like a football

Anyone remember Dan Dierdorf? He was an NFL Football player turned NFL Football commentator turned St. Louis steakhouse proprietor and owner of Dierdorf and Hart's. I'm glad to hear that he lost the weight in the 90's but I wonder how he's doing today with all of those $53.00 24-oz. Boneless Strip Steaks. You can even have the steaks delivered to your door. Genius!

TRAPPER KEEPERS!! Didn't we all used to own one?

I have fond memories of Trapper Keepers while growing up in the late 80's and early 90's. I used to buy the most RADICAL designs and they would somehow help me through those long, boring school days.

So, what type of students were you guys? Those who can't get it together? Or those who can? Or were you "born a neat-freak or a nerd with an over-sized brain"?

Milk. It does a body good. Pass it on!!

This commercial is probably one of the earliest commercials and slogans I remember. There were several made during this ad campaign and we were so excited that we had recorded one back in the mid-80's. This song used to get stuck in our heads all the time. And to this day, Milk is seriously my favorite drink. Did these Milk commercials have anything to do with it???

Ice cream for breakfast. YUM!

We're going to start off this blog with one of our favorite 80's commercials and favorite cereals... ICE CREAM CONES CEREAL! Who can resist Ice Cream Jones' catchy jingle and a bowl full of cereal that is shaped like ice cream cones? We sure can't!

Does anyone still have a box?? If so, come join us for breakfast!!
