Popsicle: A frozen drink on a stick!

Who doesn't have great memories of eating a Popsicle stick on a hot summer day as a kid? The best part was that there were TWO Popsicle sticks rather than one, which made it double the fun!

It just so happens that on this day today, March 11, 1986, the Popsicle went from a two-stick pop to a one-stick pop. We couldn't find many facts to corroborate this but we thought we'd blog about it anyway so we had an excuse to post a hot chick sucking a Popsicle!

Were you the "little-licker" that precisely licked back-n-forth between each pop until it split up the middle and then you double-fisted each pop??!!? Or were you the "deep-throater" and you sucked the whole thing dry till it was gone??!?!?!

Happy trees drop Sunkist Fun Fruits to feed very hungry redheaded kid

Twister from Good Humor goes round and round

These Twister ice cream bars look so good! They consist of a chocolate and vanilla swirl with a strawberry core and a chocolate back. Are these still around? I don't think I've ever eaten one before.

Who doesn't love The Muppets? So many good memories with these guys. They even made a cartoon when we were kids that was called "Muppet Babies". A great cartoon it was. Good memories.

Angry pilot kid is very rude to Honey Nut Cheerios Bee

All I know is if I saw a cartoon bee flying around and he wanted to use my airplane I'd say "Go right ahead little buddy!!" This kid gives in eventually.

We remember there used to be so many Cap'n Crunch cereal commercials back in the day. This one is from 1986 and it features the Soggies of course! The second half of the TV commercial shows what toy you get in each box. It's a neat Secret Message Writer and Decoder! Radical!!

We don't really remember Almond Delight but we heard that the next closest thing today is Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds. It's awesome how they actually gave away cash from around the world in every box of cereal (American cash in every 43rd box).

Galaxy High & Richie Rich promo

This promo for "Galaxy High" and "Richie Rich" was shown during the Saturday morning cartoon lineup in 1986. I just did a little research and realized that Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson) was in Galaxy High.

We totally remember Galaxy High. It was one of our favorite cartoons. It's interesting how we remember it pretty well considering we were only 6 years old when it came out!

I love the old computer in this commercial and how the 2 kids act like a typical brother and sister from the 80's. Also, that song is rad. That's what I miss. Really awesome songs in commercials. What happened to them??

I just woke up and I'm in the mood for some cereal. I don't have any milk and that makes me sad. So the next best thing I can do is post a damn cereal commercial and not eat cereal :(

I must admit, we've had this commercial for awhile and always loved how the little brother keeps giggling.  Now I'm taking a closer look at it, and I see the older brother is a young Shia LaBeouf!!!!
