Dunkin' Donuts Croissant Sandwiches unite the US and the French!

This Dunkin' Donuts commercial is pretty much like the last Dunkin' Donuts commercial. Fred the Baker is in it, it talks about Dunkin' Donuts' tasty 99 cent breakfast croissant sandwiches, and the voice-over dude says "KWA-SONT" like an American trying to sound French.

Time to make the donuts...

There were many, many Dunkin' Donuts commercials in the 80's and 90's. During this time a star was born and his name was Michael Vale, otherwise known as "Fred the Baker". We all felt his pain when this sleepy-eyed mustachioed Dunkin' Donuts worker had to wake up early and say the famous catchphrase, "Time to make the donuts..."

He played this role for 15 years from 1982 to 1997 and I'm sure he loved every second of it. Johnny from The Outsiders was correct when he said that "nothing gold can stay", because the legend Michael Vale passed away on December 24, 2005 due to complications from diabetes at age 83.

In this commercial Fred the Baker is being rewarded for his 99 cent croissant breakfast sandwiches that he graciously baked for all of America. Here's to you Fred!

Here is a McDonald's commercial that is from 1988. Watch closely and you'll see a young Cuba Gooding Jr. bite into a breakfast sandwich! This commercial focuses on breakfast and says McDonald's is "America's Morning Place".

Can't compute! Need more fruit!

This commercial has a robot that kind of looks like Toucan Sam but his nose isn't like his though. Also, you gotta love Toucan Sam's famous quote: "Just follow my nose. It always knows!"

Angry pilot kid is very rude to Honey Nut Cheerios Bee

All I know is if I saw a cartoon bee flying around and he wanted to use my airplane I'd say "Go right ahead little buddy!!" This kid gives in eventually.

CRUNCH POWER will defeat those Soggies!

We remember there used to be so many Cap'n Crunch cereal commercials back in the day. This one is from 1986 and it features the Soggies of course! The second half of the TV commercial shows what toy you get in each box. It's a neat Secret Message Writer and Decoder! Radical!!

Make money from Almond Delight cereal

We don't really remember Almond Delight but we heard that the next closest thing today is Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds. It's awesome how they actually gave away cash from around the world in every box of cereal (American cash in every 43rd box).

Cocoa Krispies w/ a young Brian Austin Green

Here is a Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies cereal commercial that is from 1987. Notice who that young actor is? It's Brian Austin Green from the original Beverly Hills 90210!

Back then, every Cocoa Krispies box had free M&M's candies included. That's a lot of chocolate!

Happy 48th Birthday Lucky!

Lucky the Leprechaun was created in 1963 and was voiced by voice actor Arthur Anderson until 1992, the year of this commercial. Is this Arthur or an impostor? You decide!

Big. Plump. Select raisins......

Hmm she is kinda sexy the way she talks about them raisins. Hmmm......

Kellogg's Cinnamon Mini Buns w/ young Brittany Murphy

This commercial features the late actress Brittany Murphy in 1992 when she was about 14 years old. She has a list of great movies she was in such as "Clueless", "Girl, Interrupted", "Spun", "8 Mile", etc... and was the voice of Luanne Platter from "King of the Hill". She also starred in the short-lived "Drexell's Class". Remember that show? This commercial was right after she was done with "Drexell's Class" and right before she started getting roles in feature films.

Unfortunately, she died on December 20, 2009 and the cause of her death is still somewhat uncertain though it was listed as "natural". You will be missed Brittany!!

Now on to the commercial...So why is this guy so small and wandering around the kitchen so early in the morning? Did we miss something? Well at least he added more cinnamon sweetness to the cereal and made everyone happy!!

Cocoa Puffs and a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt

This commercial features a very young Joseph Gordon-Levitt who is best known for his role as Tommy Solomon in "3rd Rock from the Sun". This was in 1992, so he was about 11 years old here. In only a few years time is when he is cast as Tommy Solomon.

Sonny makes these kids go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs! All strange things are happening to them!!

Lots of cheerleaders for your Monday morning

I just woke up and I'm in the mood for some cereal. I don't have any milk and that makes me sad. So the next best thing I can do is post a damn cereal commercial and not eat cereal :(

Eat Alpha-Bits and have fun too!!

When we were kids we loved eating Alpha-Bits cereal and we weren't too different from these two kids here. It's totally normal to make funny noises while eating breakfast. Those were the days...

Make friends with tigers

There is no way anyone can make an 80's 90s blog without Tony the Tiger proclaiming his most famous line, "They're Greeeeat!!"

There is no way anyone around age 30 who doesn't remember these commercials with Tony the Tiger proclaiming this line while competing in an extreme sport.

There is no way that boy was better at wind surfin than Tony the Tiger.

Did that boy growl and make the bullies fall down and lose the wind surfin race?
It sure looks like! RADICAL!!
