Lose yourself in the taste!

We haven't been able to find a whole lot of info on Centrum's DynaTrim but did uncover some facts.  The commercial doesn't explain much except that you can lose weight from eating DynaTrim, which is actually an "Appetite Suppressant". 

According to a Drug Store News article published on January 21, 1991 the makers of DyanTrim "threw $2.5 million in advertising behind its new product, DynaTrim, on Dec. 30 and 31 alone, said product manager Laurie Shanower, just so people would wake up Jan. 1 knowing about--and (the company hopes) reaching for -- DynaTrim. That was in addition to the $10 million spent since the TV, radio and print ad campaign broke Dec. 12. Altogether, $45 million in trade and consumer advertising will be spent in the first 13 months of DynaTrim's quest to topple Ultra Slim*Fast from its meal replacement throne, Shanower said."

That's a lot of money even for the early 90's! And a pretty catchy song too! Looks pretty tasty if you ask us, but we wonder if it works. Did anyone try this? Let us know!

Here is an All Sport sports drink commercial that is from 1996. The year is 2020. NFL football stars Steve Young III and Jerry Rice III are just about to step back on the field to finish Super Bowl...I mean Global Bowl LXVIII. SF is beating NY 540-310. But first they gotta drink their All Sport sports drink to make sure they still got the energy to complete the game. Guess what? They still got it!!

I'm in love with this Cherry 7up commercial. I don't know if it's the music, the black & white cinematography with the pink overlay, the loser dweebs trying to chase some tail on a Friday night, the fact that it was filmed at the Miss America diner in NJ, or the very cute girl in the '57 Thunderbird.......

"Burst the Bursts!!" with Kool-Aid Bursts

This commercial was released in 1992 and was promoting the new Kool-Aid drink called Kool Bursts. It looks like crazy stuff happens when you "Burst the Bursts"!

I was hoping Kool-Aid Man would do his trademark move and burst through a wall in this commercial. Oh...he bursted through a wall alright - through the wall of the Great Pyramids!!! And look where the boy ended up. Yup, he's upside-down so that means.........China!!
